Remember, Manafort was not a Trump man, but an RNC man (delegate counter for Gerald Ford, etc.)
Posted on 10/30/2017 7:11:42 AM PDT by cotton1706
He was Trump's campaign manager for a short period, yes, but was obviously a shady character with the RNC for some time.
Thanks, Reince!!

So basically, the message is, work with the establishment RNC, and work with establishment democrats, and work with the Washington swamp, and get away shady international activities. (sound like anyone else you know?) But get onto the campaign of an outsider, even if for a short time, and get investigated and brought before a grand jury.
Message to all: It’s not just democrats, it’s just the swamp monsters who can extort money from international parties for political favor.

From Wiki: "Paul John Manafort Jr. (born April 1, 1949)[1] is an American lobbyist, political consultant and lawyer. He joined Donald Trump's presidential campaign team in March 2016 and served as campaign manager from June to August 2016. He was previously an adviser to the U.S. presidential campaigns of Republicans Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, and Bob Dole. In 1980 Manafort co-founded the Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm Black, Manafort & Stone, along with principals Charles R. Black Jr., and Roger J. Stone.[2][3][4] In 1984 it was renamed Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly (BMSK) & associates, after Peter G. Kelly was recruited.[5]:124

He was an able replacement for Lewandowsi (sp?).
I am not quick to abandon nuts and bolts guys who helped out when needed, makes it hard to find allies when you need them.

CINC is meeting w/Sessions today. Hope the U1 FBI informant - who I suspect is Carter Page - is ready to start talking.

Trump picked him as campaign chairman. Not one of his better decisions.
It should be remembered that nothing Manafort has been indicted on has anything to do with the campaign except that Manafort lied through his teeth while running it.

At that time Rience was on the outs with Trump. Manafort being hired rests with the Trump camp.

Shady business with Marcos. There was a claim about Reagan but it never went anywhere despite claims from Philippines.
He has probably doing same or similar behavior for decades
Interested in if technically mueller was able to get comms made through unsent mail. Daughter said it is how he communicated
To: cotton1706
He is sleaze.
Big mistake to ever have hired him.
I got a lot of flak for saying that at the time.
Still, this is a political witch hunt and the indictment, I assume, is to try and get him to sing.
I wouldn’t put it past him to make things up now.

It mean something totally different than what the talking heads have decided. Mueller is going back to 2010 and dragged the first indictment from someone who was taking foreign money (puppet of Putin) for political gain and self enrichment. Who else would have been a prominent politician taking money from foreign governments for self enrichment in 2010? Clintons perhaps? More congressional people involved? If Mueller really is interested in justice, then this might be an indicator that he has thrown his net out for all of the ‘collaborators’.

Manafort lived in Trump Tower. Try again.

This isn’t true at all.
Manafort is old school GOP and former partner of Trump pal Roger Stone.

That’s all this is.
Seems to be Mueller’s only way to achieve the outcome he wants.

These charges on Manafort IS THE BLACKMAIL MATERIAL the Clintons were using to get Manafort to join the Trump campaign and sabotage it so it would fail and trump would lose.

Most freepers know it is the Rats and some Pubbies unfortunately.
You are correct in that D.C. right now is full of swamp critters of both stripes.
This is why we should be so grateful that President Trump is our POTUS and he cares about America and Americans.
President Trump is a Populist president and that is something we have not seen in D.C. for way too long.
President Trump never received any $$$ from special interest groups, lobbyists, and K-Street.
Does this make him special?
He is getting a $1.00 a year salary as our POTUS. Have we ever seen this? Of course not!
He is giving all of his salary as our POTUS to charitable orgainizations.
He contributed $1 Million of his own money to Hurricane Relief.
We have never seen this large amount of $$$ contributed.
I have never worked for his campaign, but I really have liked what he has done as our POTUS.
The swamp has been there in D.C. and We the People have let it continue to grow for the past 28 years at a feverish pitch.
To: cotton1706
During 2014 and 2015 he was also working for the Podesta group
