Trump predicted that they would do this with Washington as they went about “cleansing” our history...soon it will be required to build barriers around cherry orchards so folks don’t have to see the trees....

The church has been attended by every president up to Zero. Was this done to prevent Trump from attending?
The church was made part of our National Historic Monuments in 1970. As such, it collected taxpayer funds to restore and preserve the building and grounds. Should that money be returned, and should the church be precluded from obtaining any further national monument funds? Should the congregation be evicted and the building preserved as a museum?
Should the church gift shop be allowed to profit off the image of George Washington on their various gift items? Should they be allowed to use the name in marketing and fundraising?
Their decision to do this should be as uncomfortable for them as possible.
It’s probably none of my business, but it sounds like you need to find a new church.
Yeah, this ought to truly help the inequalities of the minorities in the U.S.

This “church” needs a demonstration of disapproval - demonstrators, pickets, little pentagrams planted in the grass, etc.
It’s strange. I would think that paintings and statues of a man nailed to a cross “make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome.”
They need to do something about that.
well, think about it. A church throws out - rejects - our founding father. Not a mosque but one of those churches who’s supposed to teach our sins are forgiven through redemption. Or used to, anyway, until malcontents took judging Americans off the shoulders of Christ and the Saints and onto themselves, bless their little hearts. And the President, who represents our founding fathers, is supposed to show up all smiles and giggles? You and I wouldn’t. Why would he? Is the church going to dig up graves next? If they want a divorce from America and their historic landmark status, they can have one but it should be a proper divorce - uncomfortable on both sides.

I started life as a "cradle Episcopalian". The ECUSA lost me with women priests.
You might suggest to some of your fellow parishioners (and particularly the Rev. Noelle York-Simmons) spend some time reading “George Washington’s Sacred Fire” by Peter Lilback. It is a very well researched and detailed account of George Washington’s Christian faith.

Not even that. Go look at your church calendar. Ask yourself “what events on this calendar appeal to men?”
