“Then get the backup tapes for previous years and the whole thing could be done in a day. “

Not even close.

They do daily back-ups (incremental)and weekly full.

There are literally hundreds of copies of Fusion’s transactions and not all of them would be in the hands of the bank.

Which back-up/storage providers are willing to risk prison? How many bank officers are will to risk prison?

Once the subpoena was issued, any attempt to subvert or destroy would land the average Joe in federal prison for 10 years, minimum.

I realize they do daily backups. But they consolidate every so often. It wouldn't take all that long. If they'd started when they first got the subpoena they'd be done by now.

Well, plenty of people risked going to prison instead of letting Bill Clinton be removed from office, much less sending him to prison. I think only one guy went to prison for him.

Initially the bank refused to turn over anything. Since a court ordered them to hand them over the records they've slow-rolled it.

We're not exactly talking about the "average Joe" are we? The "average Joe" would've been sent to prison for 30 years to life over the known violations of our espionage laws by Mrs. Bill Clinton.
