State and local taxes are such a huge issue here that the Democrat Party is getting alarmed about the possibility of losing a governor's election here next week that the GOP candidate has no business winning. These GOP House members who voted against this bill may have helped the Republican candidate immensely. She's basically running on two issues: her opponent is a big advocate for illegal aliens, and has promised to hike taxes acros the board.
I wonder how many of your and my local fellow citizens don't get to take those deductions because of AMT.
