Mathematical proficiency is now racist.
The author seems to believe black people cannot cut higher math. Rubbish!
I have black friends who have done quite well in math. I have also tutored black kids who are gifted in higher math.
It is all a matter of priorities. Their culture should be much more supportive of black math scholars.
But if I don’t learn the white privilege math, how will I know if my monthly grievance check is correct?
I’m fine with the belief that math is associated with white achievement and the resulting civilized, advanced cultures.
I suspect any intellectual proficiency (other than in gender studies and ‘thin-skinned’ gripe of the moment studies) will be seen as ‘racist’...
