The long-suppressed revelations of Harvey Weinsteins predatory activities prompted a belated comment from his long-time pal, Hillary Clinton.
In that grating, sanctimonious way of hers, she expressed stern disapproval of sexual harassment. Then she quickly changed the subject to Donald Trump. She lamented that theres now an admitted sexual assaulter occupying the White House. She used the present tense. So she couldnt have been alluding to her own hubby, Billy Jeff, aka Slick Willie.
She surely meant Trump.
Billy Jeff in his day was a good ol boy horndog. He was never confused with the other kind who lack the feminist Good House Keeping Seal of Approval. Billy got his seal of approval and with it a grant of leeway by championing certified progressive causes.
He was hardly alone. The distinguished list of others includes John Edwards, Anthony Weiner, Eliot Spitzer and the three Kennedy boys, John, Bobby and Ted.
When Billy was finally caught having his dalliances with a White House intern, writer Nina Burleigh said shed be glad to set aside her feminist scruples, drop to her knees and service Billy. Just to thank him for keeping abortion legal.
Later, Louise Ciccone, aka Madonna, at a Madison Square Garden event, shouted out: If you vote for Hillary Clinton, I will give you a b------. O.K.?
Presumably she was addressing the males in the audience. However, there evidently werent enough takers to swing Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida into the Clinton column. But Louise is, alas, getting a tad long in the tooth.
In any event, Hillary Clinton again showed disregard for truth, as is her habit, in suggesting that Trump is the first admitted sexual harasser to hold the title of President. She was basing the claim, obviously, on the Billy Bush tape.
That tape of a private chat hadnt seen the light of day in the 11 previous years if its existence. And those 11 years encompassed an era when leading Democrats, including Hillary herself, had eagerly accepted generous sums of campaign cash from Trump the very guy they now insist is a blend of the Marquis de Sade and Il Duce.
Suddenly, with the presidential campaign heading into the October stretch, the Washington Post came into possession of the tape and proceeded to disseminate it to the world.
Liberals greeted the tape with gleeful tee-hee-hees, on the one hand, and feigned high-dudgeon indignation on the other.
Its true the tape hardly commended Trump to the electorate as a gentleman. Then again, gallant or chivalrous were modifiers seldom previously applied to him.
Obnoxious, yes.Overbearing, yes. But gallant? Chivalrous? Not so much.
Contrary to Hillarys assertion, the Billy Bush tape, however, does not prove Trump an admitted sexual assaulter.
The tape does not in fact capture a Trump confession declaring that HE himself goes around grabbing females by the p----. What he said was that ONE could do so, if one is a star.
It may seem like splitting hairs. But its a distinction any astute lawyer would pounce on at once.
And, by the way, who could contest Trumps point? Not Billy Jeff, surely. Billy Jeff pretty much proved the Trump point with his years of extracurricular activities in Little Rock and Washington. And now Harvey Weinstein seems to have provided further proof of the truth of Trumps observation.
Males who have achieved a certain level of notoriety can and do use their status to indulge their libidos. Its, perhaps, a remnant of cave-dwelling days that evolution failed to get entirely rid of.
As Billy Jeff himself said in explaining his reckless assignations with Monica Lewinsky: He did it for the most morally indefensible reason. Just because I could.
There is, maybe, a subtle difference separating the priapic antics Trump was talking about on the Billy Bush tape and the ones Weinstein allegedly indulged in. Trump seemed to be alluding to groupie females female fans who make themselves available to male celebrities. This is a type well known in pop music circles and professional sports. Ask Mick Jagger. Or consult Wilt Chamberlains book, A View from Above. He not only scored 31,419 points on the court but claimed to have scored 20,000 times off the court.
Entertainment industry mogul Weinstein arguably belongs in a more loathsome classification of lechery than those males who partake of the available groupies. His lechery reportedly entailed more than just yielding to flaunted temptation. His seems to have had an odious bullying quality to it.
Even so, its looking like Weinstein, too, for many years enjoyed the feminist Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval and with it the customary grant of leeway. He no doubt qualified for it with his deep-pockets support of progressive causes and candidates. As penance, he now pledges to rededicate his life to battling the liberal bugaboo, the NRA.
At least it can be said in Weinsteins behalf that many of the women he forced himself on were not totally powerless damsels in distress. Many were stars not without financial means. Presumably, some had the standing to speak out, had they chosen to. Some opted not to, maybe out of self-interested economic calculations.
In contrast, the females that Hillarys Billy Jeff allegedly hit on were all lower-level workplace help. They were women without the financial means or voice to make their objections heard. Their complaints were easily countered by the hard-ball measures of the Clintons powerful bimbo-eruptions-control apparatus. Hillary herself was a key cog in that apparatus.
Both Billy Jeff and Harvey are cases of men of standing who exercised their droit du seigneur the right of the lord of the manor to help himself to females of lesser status.
The difference between Billy Jeff and Harvey is a difference of degree. Billy Jeff seems to have been a bit less flagrant and gross than Harvey. No potted plant in the stories of Billy Jeffs transgressions.
In any event, now that Hillary has spoken out, its necessary to set the record straight, as it always is once she has spoken. When she says that Trump is the first admitted sexual assaulter to occupy the White House, well, as Ronald Reagan might say, There she goes again.
In fact it is her own spouse, the one she hitched her ambitions to, Billy Jeff, who holds the distinction she falsely attributes to Trump. He, Billy Jeff, is the only legally certified sexual assaulter to have occupied the White House.
You can look it up: Jones v. Clinton, U.S. District Court for Eastern District of Arkansas; Clinton v. Jones, U.S. Court of Appeals for Eastern District of Arkansas, and Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681 (1979, U.S. Supreme Court).
That was all litigated, says Hillary, falsely suggesting the litigation ended in Billys favor.
The record warrants reviewing, since CNN, MSBC and others seem averse to doing so on those occasions when the case bears some relevancy to breaking news.
When lower-level Arkansas state employee Paula Jones sued Billy Jeff for aggressive sexual harassment in his role as Arkansas governor, he by then President demanded the case be thrown out of court, on the ground that a sitting president is exempt from civil suit. This was essentially the same legal doctrine once asserted by monarchs in a distant age the ancient legal doctrine of Le reine le veut: The king wills it to be so.
A seldom unanimous Supreme Court unanimously gave Billy Jeffs motion an unceremonious heave-ho. The Paula Jones case was then sent back to Arkansas to be tried. A federal court judge there held Billy Jeff in contempt of court for having given intentionally false testimony in a deposition.
Moving quickly to cut his mounting losses, Hillarys hubby consented to pay nearly $1 million in fines and settlements, $965,000 to be precise. The tab included a $90,000 court fine and a $25,000 bar association fine for giving false or misleading testimony under oath, plus $850,000 damages to Jones.
As an indication of Billy Jeffs desperate legal straits, the settlement with Jones was $150,000 more than her lawsuit had sought when she filed it. Further, Billy Jeff agreed to resign his Arkansas law license for five years in lieu of disbarment. He likewise resigned his Supreme Court Bar membership under a parallel federal threat of disbarment.
A federal Special Counsel, meanwhile, declined to pursue criminal charges against Billy Jeff. But not due to any evidence of innocence. Due to, the Special Counsel said, the sanctions and financial penalties Billy Jeff had already faced.
The Special Counsel did, however, formally take note of Slick Willies presidential prevarications, officially condemning them as evasive and prejudicial to the administration of justice.
Hillary Clinton might have been better advised just to have kept her mouth shut on the topic of sexual harassment.
But evidently the woman simply cant pass up any opportunity to demonstrate her penchant for cutting sharp corners on the truth.
And so, let us all cry out in unison, one more time: Liar, liar, pantsuits on fire!
That's how it works with the Left -- all (or most) is overlooked and forgiven if you're on the "correct" side of their pet political issues. Even after Weinstein got caught he thought he could still get a pass by vowing to destroy the NRA.
When Bill Clinton got away with multiple rapes and sexual assaults and is still praised today as a hero of the left...
Feminists have no one to blame but themselves.
Liberals like Hillary seem to think they have a license to lie and obviously the MSM is glad to convey those lies as truth.
This one is either: a) A BODY DOUBLE b) A Clone c) or she's really juiced up with weekly infusions of young blood to keep her energized.
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Hillary The Beast is counting on the younger generations being totally uninformed of the Clinton criminal history.
Especially Bill’s serial adultery, his rape and abuse of women, his sexual trysts in the White House and Hillary’s own war against Bill’s victims.
The bent one needs to hang ...
