Bill O'Reilly expressed hope Thursday the Supreme Court will ultimately decide a 40-foot "Peace Cross" honoring World War I soldiers on public land in Maryland can stand, telling Newsmax TV "there's no doubt in my mind that it would."
"What makes it really disturbing is that everybody acknowledges that the World War I memorial is basically directing people, Americans and others who are visiting, to honor those who lost their lives in that conflict," O'Reilly told "Newsmax Now" host John Bachman in an interview. "That's all."

If I recall correctly the Supreme Court already ruled on a similar case, and upheld having a cross on public land.
I don’t recall details, was it the Mojave Cross in California?
Anyway, assuming there is already a precedent from the Supreme Court, this case from Maryland should never have gotten to a courtroom.

“Precedence schmecedence” Said ever leftist Obama appointed judge.
As I understand, the memorial is a direct copy of most American WWI gravestones. Guess those all have to be removed too.
how come ‘stare decis’ doesn’t apply here?
Germany agreed to maintain Soviet war memorials on their territory as part of the agreement that got the Russians out of the country.
This lawsuit started in 2014. Note that since the lawsuit started, the WWI Veteran's Memorial was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in September of 2015.
Doesn’t really matter. No one would do anything if they tore them down. Poland already did, except for the ones in cemeteries.
“decisis”
If they get rid of the cross, they have to remove all Indian effigies from public lands.
