The UN Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent issued a report on Monday, stating that the United States owes Americans of African descent reparations for slavery and other incidents of mistreatment, up to the present day.
The group asserts that the reparations are due because of the disadvantages caused by 245 years of legalized slavery of black Africans in America, and that the United States has not confronted its legacy of “racial terrorism.”

That's may standard take on this reparations BS plus my people got here around 1900. So count me out.
I think we should take every cent we give to the UN for one year, divvy it up between everyone who can prove they were harmed by slavery that ended 150 years ago, tell them that is all that is ever coming, kick the UN out of the country, and be done with it all.
I would consider that a win-win.

I already paid reparations (40 acres and a mule, with a bonus $1,000,000) to every slave I ever owned, and to the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of all of my slaves. Not only that, but I paid the same amount to the descendants of each and every slave owned by my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, great-great-grandparents, and great great-great-grandparents, going back over 200 years. I’m done with reparations.
As for the $20T in national debt we are passing on to our kids, that is proof that the welfare class has already received their share from our children and grandchildren. Let’s move on. It’s time to judge the American people as individuals, based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
I understand your point. But the root cause in all of this is how the Left has destroyed blacks through a failed education system that teaches blacks that whites and America are evil. Also leftist policies as well.
each successive generation will want their own “reparations”. It will be a bottomless free money pit.
I notice the UN is not asking any South American countries for reparations. They had slaves as well. I wonder why that is? Follow the money.
