I TRULY believe that there has never been a time as bad as today, when people were able to know the truth, but choose to disbelieve it.
There have been many times when people believed lies, but quite often, they had no way to test the lies. Today, I believe there is so much information out there, you have to choose to be ignorant. And this is predicted in scripture - If you don’t want to know the truth, fine. Go ahead and believe the lies:
2 Thessalonians 2
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Utter rejection of the truth, combined with rabid, ever increasing open rebellion against Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ (along with persecuting and denigrating those who follow Him and bear witness to His holy name) and His established natural and spiritual order and His written laws and commandments while embracing and promoting self deception, perversion, right is wrong and wrong is right:this is the over arching "purpose" and theme that permits our age.
We indeed live in evil days but rejoice: Maranatha! These are but signs that "our redemption draws near".
