This does create some interesting scenarios...where you are being prosecuted and drop some four-line piece in front of the judge that you might know about some Russian thugs in US affairs and it’s connected to Mueller. At that point, the judge will probably halt the episode and try to find some way to dismiss the case.

All of this just makes me wonder if Trump knew this problem existed and had Sessions intentionally pick Mueller to get to this stage and be forced to resign while the Russia thing encompasses him.

I really cannot wait for Trump’s memoirs on his presidential years. I think that we are going to find out that an awful lot of what was done, was done on purpose and for very good reasons. The mere fact that he is President shows that he has outsmarted a lot of people. He didn’t suddenly lose his mind when he entered the office, he’s doing lots of things that will only become obvious later. Remember, this is a guy who has spent the better part of the last 50 years engaging in a long-term plan to enrich his family, and he has been wildly successful in doing so. This guy plans long-term as a matter of routine. To think that it would not leak over into his political life is not realistic.

Rudy Giuliani’s rapid and nearly complete disappearance from the scene after Election Day has always led me to believe that his security firm was working with the Trump campaign in ways that might just now be coming to light.
