Possibly, but none of them were taken. And non-war means are still weak when put up against a deliberate act of war besides.

We were neutral. Sail a ship full of munitions to a German port and see what the Royal Navy would have done.

Avenge what?

The passengers of the Lusitania were warned by newspaper ads that they would be sailing into a war zone......German intelligence had found out the Lusitania would be carrying war materials (violation of US neutrality).......there were two explosions reported but only one torpedoe fired!!!!!

For decades the UK navy would NOT allow diving on or near the wreck. Is that because it would confirm the German version that the Lusitania was carrying war materials?

Yes the US had NO business getting into WWI!!! Doing so was to save the NY bankers, who had loaned millions to Britain/France!!
