"I am going to predict right now that we will have a smoking gun," Geragos said on CNN. "There are people who are not going to get into an arbitration proceeding and they are not going to lie. They are not going to lie. They are going to tell the truth and they're going to say what happened. They were told no, you're not going to hire him."

Hopefully this ruins the NFL....then he can fall off the world
Seems like he is saying: “We don’t have anything to prove collusion, but we will.” Seems they are counting on one of the team owners to confess. I don’t see that happening.
The nfl is a private business, he has no right to work at all..
Who says anyone HAS to hire anyone else?
Colin Cancer opted to become a free agent. Are there guarantees that come with that? He took a chance on his highly over-rated self image and lost the bet....why? He is not a good player.
End of story.
even if they did it is a conscious and rightful choice..
Who was told, and by whom? The League seems to be doing everything it can to justify the presence of those just like him....
So, if he wins, it means that an athlete, even though he has an option to play and be paid, can opt out and if he doesn't get more money, recover damages.
This doesn't make sense.
I am hoping some owner would be stupid enough to hire this guy. Kapernick back in uniform would destroy the NFL by Christmas.
The first rule of survival is :
"Never crap where you eat"
He has violated both rules in that he has insulted his employer capitalistic rights
by some self-induceded fantasy
and has crapped on his own paycheck
and still wants to be paid for sitting on his butt, producing NOTHING !
and feels " ENTITLED !"
Mark Garagos is a familiar name. He’s a lefty lawyer who represented some creep in the distant past.
I guess I’ll have to Google his name.
“Yes, he chose to be a free agent. He had an option to play and be paid by the San Francisco franchise and he chose to walk.”
If CK wins this case (a long-shot), he could get awarded some nominal damages because of that very fact — the 49ers offered him a contract, and he turned it down.
Anybody remember the $3 award to the USFL?
The NFL created Colin, let them settle their differences.
No business of mine.
Here’s the thing about this whole collusion talk. Once a ‘smoking gun’ is introduced...the league agreement with the union says that the contract is then null and void....requiring an entire re-negotiation. If I were the franchise holders (not the NFL management folks), with trends going negative....I’d say fine, lets go into a re-negotiation period and put the new numbers out there, with less viewership. If I were the union, I’d prefer nothing come up to screw up what is a good deal for right now.
Oh, there IS a smoking gun here, and it’s name is Colin Kaepernick. It’s the gun that Goodell held to the temple of the NFL and pulled the trigger.
At this point Im rooting for Kaepernick.
Burn it down.
