You obviously missed my point. I was responding to a poster who suggested that Toomey only won because of Trump's "coattails" in Pennsylvania.

I understood your point completely. You said that Toomey won because of a different demographic and also stated that the rural dems who voted for Trump didn't vote for Toomey. But you can't possibly know that, can you?

Mariner merely suggested the coattails. You, on the other hand, reject the possibility without fact or local perspective.

Would they have won if Trump voters had not vote for them? Not likely. Trump attracted a lot of disaffected democrats and the non voting block of independents.

I said all along that Trump won mostly because he was not one of them.
