The scene with the young girl is in The Godfather novel - The girl comes out of the bedroom, in full view of Tom Hagan, with her hair and make-up in disarray leaving no doubt as to what had happened. Her mother hurries her out. Tom Hagen goes back and tells The Godfather everything - The Godfather is furious beyond words about the little girl.
I got the impression from the book that killing the horse was also done for the little girl that Waltz was obviously molesting.
Read the book too but don’t remember it as well as you.
But I have to agree 100 percent.
I do remember from the book that that jerkoff was on some list regarding the POTUS and he thought he was safe.
