WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - (PHOTO COURTESY: Michelle Lyons Cossar)
A photo of three Maine roofers who paused while the national anthem played at a high school next to their job site is getting a lot of attention on line.
The roofers placed their hands across their chests as the anthem was played at Waterville High School during Saturday's football game.
The men work for a company in Oakland, but were doing an independent job Saturday.
They were close enough to the school to hear the anthem.
Indeed. May God bless these workers.
Work one of the toughest jobs in construction. Make a modest living. Grateful for their customers. Proud of their country. Winners.
Play a game. Make millions a year. Have contempt for their fans. Hate the country. Whiners.
I can’t stand Collins.
I wrote in someone else’s name in 2014 rather than vote for the likes of her.
Collins keeps getting re-elected because the RATS always run some obscure far-left female moonbat state senator against her, and Collins ends up looking good to some by comparison, but she’s not.
I hope Bannon helps to primary her when she’s up in 2020.
wow, amazing, thanks!
Nice..and away from New Boston (Kittery to Freeport), Maine is not that liberal...
It's like they get a pass from decorum because they have a camera.
I like the pic and the idea it presents - but I hate that the yahoo ignored protocol to shoot it.
A friend just returned from Maine; very impressed by the number of Americans there. She wasn’t near any of the mini-Mogadishus...
China, Denmark, and Paris, too...
Precisely the same mechanism for mccain here. Maybe its a trend.
A couple of weeks ago I was at a gun show in Sandy, UT. A woman comes on the loud speaker saying the the Presentation of the Colors was about to take place, courtesy of the Boy Scouts.
Everyone stood stock still, hand over heart as the kids went through the Presentation. You could hear a pin drop. The Pledge of Allegiance was repeated at the close.
Felt to to see the widespread patriotic feeling - a welcome break from this NFL crap.
