Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran is continuing to grapple with a urinary tract infection that has delayed a planned return to Washington, his office announced on Monday.
The GOP veteran, 79, has been absent from Washington for a month. Cochrans chief of staff, Brad White, made the announcement in a statement issued by Cochrans office.
White said Cochrans wife told him late Saturday that the infection had returned. His office had said last week that Cochran would return to work on Monday. [ ]
Cochrans health has been the subject of speculation in Washington, fueled by his extended absence and tweets by Trump, who at one point mistakenly said Cochran was hospitalized.

Cochran needs to go, along with McCain, McConnell and the rest of the GOPee.
HA!
Mitch and the Barbours were the operational heads of the plan, but Ted Cruz as NRSC chair had to sign off on the expenditure.
I would have to see something that specificly ties Cruz to the events that occurred in Miss........got proof along those lines?
Hailey “Boss Hog” Barbour knew Cochran had one foot in the grave when he was paying Black Democrats to vote for Cochran in the GOP primary against conservative McDaniel.
But I don't think the NRSC funds went for the racist ads or the walking around money. I thought that came from Mitch McConnell's super pac.
I believe Gateway Pundit did a story on this that named names and sources of funding.
I'm pretty sure the NRSC funds just went to conventional advertisements and expenses. I find it very hard to believe that party members in Mississippi would tolerate Party funds being used for that purpose.
I believe it was an outside pac, not NRSC funding that payed for those ads and the "walking around money."
“I guess when youre a senator or congressman, your entire health history becomes public information.
I dont think we had the need to know about his UTI.”
I think that privacy relating to heath matters should GO OUT THE DOOR when one runs for public office (unless it can be certified that the condition is not a future threat). For example, many here would like to know just WHAT THE HELL is wrong with Hillary, and I’m sure people would have appreciated knowing just how sick FDR was during his last term (when he died). Not to mention the REAL STORY regarding Justice Scalia...in his case, he family wanted a quick cremation after a suspicious death, even though the guy doing the ‘autopsy’ had his license pulled. I could care less regarding the family’s wishes, if a person is in such a powerful position as to be able to CHANGE THE DIRECTION of this country, then we need to make informed decisions regarding that person. Think about it just on a local level - if my wife is found murdered in my home and I have blood on my hands, will the police let me hire some disgraced quack for a 10 minute autopsy and then let me cremate her the next day?
If people don’t like public disclosure, they always have the option of not running or taking office, or resigning.
Mississippi Conservatives, in turn, was funded in part by Sally Bradshaw of the RNCs Growth and Opportunity Project, former RNC Chairman and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, the United States Chamber of Commerce, and the political action committees created for Senators Mitch McConnell ($50,000), John Cornyn ($50,000), Rob Portman ($25,000), Bob Corker ($25,000), and Roy Blunt ($5,000).
Thank you for the clarification.
Ted was still chair and had to know.
Now lets think for a moment are we going to have the Vice Chairman(Ted Cruz) or the Chairman John Cornyn be in charge of releasing funds? I’m going to need some time to consider which of these 2 gentlemen would be more likely to ATTACK the man who was likely to vote like Cruz? Try not to catch your hair on fire!
See #49, the money came from Cheap Labor Express Senators PAC’s and the RNC Growth Fund.
Ted Cruz was chair at the time and it would be hard to believe he did not know about it.
He’s a swamp creature even if a little less slimy than most.
He’s basically been in office too long.
Ted Cruz was NEVER the Chairman of the NRSC. It was John Ensign, John Conyers then Jerry Moran, if you look it up you will not find Ted Cruz was ever Chairman.
Someone sent me a message on another thread telling me they didn't think Cruz ever chaired the NRSC.
A quick check found this that says he was the Vice-Chairman, but I haven't found anything that says he was the chairman. It also says he's spent his time on the NRSC fighting with his colleagues.
Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has not been engaged in his role as vice chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, according to multiple sources familiar with GOP politics, and a growing number of Republicans are frustrated that the freshman senator has aligned himself with a group actively attacking their incumbent colleagues.
"The vice chairman of the NRSC is actively raising money for an organization going after Republican senators," one GOP aide bluntly observed.

Glad to know that Ted didn’t kiss whoever’s ass it would have pleased you for him to have done......you wound butt hurt!
wound=sound
Good information, thank you.
His colleagues obviously need fighting with.
Please enough with TRUTH,FACTS and REALITY!!!
