President Trump hammered Hillary Clinton on Monday for her defense of NFL players protesting the national anthem, saying that kind of “thinking” is why she lost the election.
In a joint White House press conference with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Trump was asked about Clinton's latest comments on players who “take a knee.”
“Well—that’s why she lost the election. I mean, honestly, it’s that thinking—that is the reason she lost the election,” Trump responded.
He also repeated his early-morning call on Twitter for Clinton to run again. “Oh, I hope Hillary runs. Is she going to run? I hope. Hillary, please run again,” Trump said.
Clinton, in an interview Sunday during her overseas tour promoting her new campaign memoir, said kneeling during the national anthem is a “reverent” position that is not against “our anthem or our flag.” Clinton warned that people should resist “what are very clear dog-whistles” to excite the Trump base, citing the NFL-White House feud.
“That’s what black athletes thought kneeling was all about,” she said in response to a question about ways to resist the White House. “That’s not against our anthem or our flag. Actually, kneeling is a reverent position. It was to demonstrate in a peaceful way against racism and injustice in our criminal system.”
Trump, in turn, suggested the response helps better explain her 2016 loss.
“I mean, look, there are a lot of reasons that she didn’t win, including the fact that she was not good at what she did,” Trump said Monday. “But I will tell you, that is something that I had just heard about and I think her statement, in itself, is very disrespectful to our country.”
Earlier in the day, Trump had dared Clinton -- on Twitter -- to run again in 2020.

The article's headline takes Trump's remark TOTALLY out of context as if any woman who thinks is a loser..

Well, even giving the Beast the benefit of the doubt here and agreeing that black players were tricked into it - then why do they KEEP DOING IT, now that they know just what it means.

President Trump is very diplomatic.
I wouldn’t attribute any of Hillary’s verbal pig droppings with “thinking.”

Colin Kapernick stated explicitly his actions were against our nation and our flag. he did not start this crap as a reverent action.

I don't care what "she" said. The left does not get to redefine customs and traditions to fit there warped views. What is, has been, and will be reverent when it comes to honoring the flag is attention, saluting while in uniform or hand over heart pledge while OUR national anthem is played.
Socialists don't get their own anthem. The left doesn't get to change, alter or replace our traditions just because they have a gripe. They always gripe. It's what they do. You want cheap auto insurance you call GEICO. It's what you do.
