This is not a free speech issue. The players are employees who perform on the platform paid for by the owners. The NBA requires their players to stand for the national anthem. Some of the NFL owners are now taking a similar stance. The protests are hurting their businesses. How long will they stand for it?
If NFL players can inject politics into their workplace, then why can't a clerk at Walmart or food server at McDonald's do the same thing? Where does it end?
