That's my point. Swift has been getting blasted in the media (and was actually questioned about possible white supremacist leanings) for not speaking about against Trump.
The most popular music star in the world refused to endorse Hillary, refuses to bash Trump, and the media is not happy about this.
An M & M piece is more intelligent than Eminem.
“non-stop Trump-bashing? If you want that, you can just turn on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC pretty much anywhere except Fox any night of the week.”
Well, for the record, FOX is not much better.
Fox25 in Boston this morning: “After Congress failed to repeal and replace Obamacare, President Trump has taken action himself to eliminate subsidies for thousands of people. Local lawmakers are voicing their opposition to his actions.” Eight minutes of liberal politicians with predictable sound bites followed.
No context was offered. No suggestion that the subsidies should not have existed in the first place, or that they were originally created by the stroke of a presidential pen rather than by act of Congress.
Might as well have been an ABC broadcast, for all the difference the “Fox” label made.
We wouldn’t hire a plumber, roofer, house painter or garbage hauler who lectured us on leftist politics when we are paying them to do their jobs.
And they are all engaged in professions that actually do something useful for their customers.
But non-essential entertainers, like Hollywood actors (who make their money pretending to be someone else), and football players (who make their money playing a game), think they have unique and valuable political lessons to teach us.
As if their employment as actors and game players gives them superior wisdom and insight.
So they expect us to sit back, shut up and let them lecture us while we expect them to shut up and entertain us.
Ridiculous that the media would question why Swift wants to avoid being political. She likely doesnt want to alienate half of her fans.
The liberal media not only expects celebrities to be political. They also act like they are more knowledgeable than anyone else. I saw that during the media coverage of Handmaid’s Tale. The actors were asked political questions at nearly every interview I saw. Every actor gave the same answers on every question.
Allow me to repost something from a week ago.
Singers - Shut up and Sing.
Hollywood Actors - Shut up and Act.
NFL Players - Shut up and get a Concussion.
They can’t even see that they are all useful expendable tools.
Very disappointing. Better he kept his mouth shut and at least appeared
Less of a moron.
That's why he wants us to disband 'Cause he cannot withstand The fact we're not afraid of Trump F**k walkin' on egg shells, I came to stomp That's why he keeps screamin' 'Drain the swamp' 'Cause he's in quicksand It's like we take a step forwards, then backwards But this is his form of distraction Plus, he gets an enormous reaction When he attacks the NFL so we focus on that Instead of talking Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada
All Eminems end up the brown in the end.
Eminem?? He’s a little cuck douchebag. And he knows it.
And you are exactly correct, dfw ... and it was indeed a MAGNIFICENT “FU” to all of them.
And THEY can’t stand it.
We’re taking our Country back and they’re losing their minds.
Should make ya smile every day...
He’s jealous that Kid Rock’s going to be elected Senator. It’s a feeble attempt at maintains relevancy.
I disagree that they need to shut up. The dynasty needs to have a wrecking ball taken to it. It’s deliciously ironic that the entertainers themselves are the ones swinging it.
Observe the raw awesome power of Caucasian Music.
