I spent two years with the Indians of Western Canada. The Stoney tribe near Banff had a term for the Cree tribe just to the east of them, which was interpreted as “Wild Indians”. IOW, only the Stoney were civilized human beings, all the others were savages. No different that most every other culture has believed or currently believes.

Your post is so very true. As I am getting older and more appreciative of creature comforts, I judge “tribes” by things like flushing toilets, showers, freezers, ice makers, etc.
I have my priorities and I am not ashamed. : )
