Perhaps "math education" is not "math." Perhaps it is part of the school of education, which would not necessarily involve actual math.
Here's their fight song:
By playing Social Justice Warrior games universities are wasting their resources and alienating a public already justly suspicious of what colleges are selling.
The internet is going to be taking market share away from the education establishment and that includes universities in a big way.
Right now they are feasting on their gatekeeper role of bestowing degrees of dubious value. This won’t last.
Must be party math.
Teaching that 2+2 = 4 will be considered a sign of intolerance. Students will learn that results in math are relative, that what the student believes is more important than a correct answer. After the students graduate they will work in menial jobs for bosses from China or India who actually learned something in college.
There's a hat in the picture?? Oh, OK you're right. (I had to scroll back up to look again.) :=)
Universities have rapidly become destroyers of knowledge whose primary purpose is to give credentials for future employers.
Hopefully a new generation of employers will test for the skills they need, stop looking at credentials, and then it is game, set and match for the lefty universities.
Two crackas wack enough to go in da hood. How many crackas dey is nah?
It’s not the college of Arts and Sciences, it’s in the College of Education. Supposedly they require a few math courses above the 2nd year level to graduate. If a teacher flunked one of them there might be “consequences,” as Wasserman Schultz said.

Pass everyone as long as they are a brainwashed automaton for social justice.
Texas State administrators should be committed.
To a mental hospital.
How do these schools stay open?
Bernie Sanders wants free college education for everybody. That might be OK if colleges were responsible.
is this real?
They are basically wanting someone who is a good reader of the example problems in the text. I had one of those for my 3rd quarter of Calculus. I finally had enough and raised my hand and I told him I know how to read but came her to learn Calculus. He just stood there with a blank look on his face.
I was lucky to get out of there with a C after 2 A’s in the previous quarters.
Oh I know this one! *raises hand*
2 too many crackas!
