Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that current Attorney General Jeff Sessions has an "almost obsession with marijuana," and said the Justice Department was right to allow states to regulate recreational marijuana sales.
As attorney general from 2009-2015, Holder presided over a Justice Department decision to allow states to regulate recreational marijuana sales in violation of federal law so long as certain enforcement triggers such as underage sales and interstate smuggling weren't tripped.

Sounds like Eric does too.
Eric who???
Holder...I’m wondering what you like to puff on?
I’ll take Session’s obsession with marijuana over Holder’s obsession with race.
Holder is an incompetant quota dork.
Period.
:(
Holder right about ONE thing in his entire life and he gets a headline lol
Blind squirrel, broken clock ...
Too bad Sessions doent have an obsession with arrestingg sanctuary city mayors. Given his power and authority, he hasnt accomplished much.
Eric’s dog whistling to his people. Pot use has traditionally been seen as a minority thing. Not so much these days but traditionally (50s 60s)it was seen as a black thing. (It’s why the band was doing in the car in back to the future!)
Holder is obsessed with skin color.
It would not surprise me if in time we learn that Holder has a marijuana problem of his own.
Yeah— exactly. Puffing on what holder, as you work under contract for the secession of the state of californication— or better, the nation of mendocino county pot growers (it’s medicine, you know! and think of the taxes we can raise for the State). Maybe he’s puffing on a pound of Peter’s (special fertilizer, i mean) or dating Kamala Harris (she of micro intellect and maximum machine pot/gay boy politics San Fran). Praying for a miracle that his role in Fast and Furious arms deals with the mexican cartels is not revealed by Session’s cleanup. Sessions must be getting close to this utter fraud clintonite who appointed Lowretta to her NY fed attorney position under billy boy’s direction. See how the dopers do dope?
The DEA, mr. holder, lists “marijuana/THC” as a Schedule I narcotic, which it is— and it is not some benign agent (recent research cited by DEA in re:schizoid genetic marker triggers, blood brain crossing research and habituation). The entire money machine of the fake “medical” marijuana pitch is laid flat by science. The science of the clinically proven non-narcotic varietal of cannabis which produces only cannabidiol and zero THC— which truly is medicinal and is not marijuana— it is medical hemp.
No surprise that it was William Randolph Hearst who originally lumped the hemp plant with pot head negro jazz musicians as public enemy number one- to get hemp itself banned from production with false narcotic claims- because his newspaper monopoly which used wood paper pulp for his newsprint was being challenged by non-pot hemp growers supplying competitor newspapers with hemp fiber paper undercutting his vast wood/paper/pulp holdings supplies. This is another california truth.
There is a reason why Soros has spent a great deal of money to make the ‘weed’ legal... at the ‘state’ level...
Paranoid Eric Holder, afraid he’ll lose his personal stash?
Don’t worry about it Eric. None of your business.
We are on a slippery slope here. Those who have spent a lot of time as first responders, or working in emergency rooms generally have a different opinion of marijuana than how it is portrayed on TV and in movies. There are also many of us who have seen the health and mental issues caused by long term use in our friends and loved ones.
It is definitely not the completely harmless substance these days that it is made out to be. Although I do know many police who say that they would prefer to respond to a stoned person on marijuana than a mean drunk.
Much of the difficulties from marijuana use are related to people not taking its effects seriously. It depends on the individual, but I have seen many psychotic episodes that were definitely trigged by its use... seriously weird crap. Initially, I thought that it was hallucinogens added to the marijuana causing the difficulties. But after it was legalized and people were supposedly using marijuana from legal sources the number of people we saw with bizarre psychiatric problems increased. So it really most likely is the marijuana.
The long term effects are more than just on the brain. What we see in long term heavy marijuana users are problems outside of the brain. They end up bruising very easily and often have horrible varicose veins. I would assume that these outward symptoms are also a sign that the likelihood of stroke and other vascular issues is much greater. This no doubt also causes problems in other organs and systems in the body.
I think it is like alcohol in that an occasional drink may even have a small benefit for some people. Maybe a small amount of marijuana could have some benefit for some. The big problems for both substances are in those who use larger amounts frequently. In alcohol the issues are well known and documented. With marijuana we find that users completely deny that it has any negative effects at all. In reality marijuana is just as bad as alcohol and in many ways it can be much worse.
