It is because they allow the contractors/developers to build homes so close together because of greed. I mean right on top of each other.
Btw, ya can’t cut all the brush in millions of acres bordering those homes, so those next to the undeveloped hills will always be under direct threat of fire anytime the wind blows. And if the homes are built right on top of each other, well...

It is not just the developer/builders greed that they have the houses so close, but also the greed of the city or county in trying to cram as many taxpaying peons as they can within city/county limits.

Just remember, the corrupt in some of those in the cities and counties have also been lobbied and bribed by the contractors and developers for tighter and tighter more densely populated regions/zoning.
Big $$ when you can cram 300 homes into a piece of acreage, as opposed to say, 150 home$.
I’m a long ways away from he fire. I mentioned the wind because with a Santa Ana condition, it can vary here from 30 to 70 mph where I live.
The First Amendment is not the problem. The bizarre extreme to which the 1st Amendment is interpreted is a problem, along with the 14th Amendment. The entire US Constitution was originally a restriction of the powers of the federal government, and now it it exists as a tool for the federal government to use to control all of us down to what we do in our own homes. Repeal the 14th.

Will be interesting to find out what was up with those two who were arrested in Arizona.
We lived there until last year and we would be evacuated now if we were still there. Hope they can stop it from reaching the homes there.
