Most folks are sleeping at 3:30 am - how will they even know their neighborhood is on fire?

Good question which I asked my relative in Sonoma. She said that the wind was keeping her wide awake anyway but that her and the husband's phones kept blaring alerts. BTW, so far they and their home are OK. Many others said that police and firefighters came door to door urging folks to leave immediately.

As I have said, I cannot imagine what it would be like to be woken to that...leave immediately with your purse and clothes on back...

Those prepper threads are right...need to have a go bag ready to put in car!!!
