Britain is reportedly preparing for the possibility of war breaking out with North Korea as concerns rise that another provocative missile test could trigger a military response by the US.
North Korea is being closely watched amid fears it could launch another long-range missile test on Tuesday to mark the anniversary of the founding of its ruling party.
Bellicose rhetoric from Donald Trump has heightened tensions in the region in recent months, prompting British officials to draw up military plans for a response to a break out of hostilities, it was reported.
Among the plans disclosed by the Daily Mail is the deployment of the Navy's newest aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, before it has undergone flight trials.
"We have plenty of ships to send… the Type-45 destroyers, the Type-23 frigates. Britain’s new aircraft carrier could be pressed into service early if things turn south," a senior Whitehall source told the newspaper.

Maybe this statement is for domestic consumption, to make their peons less unhappy about their repulsively high tax rate on every possible thing a person could consume or buy.
That is a long walk for them. I hope they have been peering horses for the past three years.
Its also good that they have such a strong monarch. I assume the Queen will be in the vangaurd leading the fight.

Any U.K. force would be a token, but potentially very useful. Send SAS and the Gurkhas, along with selected Navy units. The Gurkhas have been slicing up the Taliban for the past 16 years, and they’d probably like to use their knives on new targets. Additionally, the HMS Queen Elizabeth would be a valuable platform for USMC F-35s; there has been talk of deploying Marine Corps F-35s on that carrier until the Royal Navy’s Lightning IIs are ready.
No kidding. Somewhere in the bowels of the Pentagon, there are probably war plans in case of an invasion of the U.S. mainland by the combined forces of Greece, Iceland, and Argentina.
