What he didnt do 2 weeks ago was kneel for the anthem—nor did any Dallas Cowboys players. Nor has a single Dallas Cowboy player knelt for the anthem in the 2 years since this silliness started.
What Jones did do 2 weeks ago is kneel with all of his players before the anthem. In other words, he didn't do a damn thing to disrespect the flag.
But hey, who needs actual facts when there's a rigid, oversimplified narrative to push—one which conflates the behavior of all NFL teams. The fact is, what the Dallas Cowboys did was qualitatively different than any team which allowed disrespect for the anthem and the flag.
