Didnt the whole team, including Jones, take a knee last weekend? Yes. Before the anthem. Then they all stood during the anthem.
Trying to conflate kneeling together before the anthem with kneeling during the anthem is ludicrous. The team can do whatever group therapy it wants to when it's not actively playing on the field or actively engaged in standing for the national anthem.
Let's maintain a sense of perspective here, and give Jerry Jones credit for:
- having zero of his players kneel for the anthem at any time during the last 2 years—ever since Kaepernick's "protest" began, and
- stating unequivocally that any Cowboys player who does disrespect the flag won't take the field.
That's rather definitive, whether anyone considers it tardy or not. Better late than never.
Make no mistake: this leadership—by a top-tier team owner—is going to have a profound effect on many other teams and players. Jerry Jones is speaking Truth to Power.

Jones caved to pressure from the media and the malcontents on his roster two weeks ago. Today he’s singing a different tune — probably because the whole thing has turned into a disaster for the entire NFL, while his own team is 0-2 since that Monday night game with the oh-so-gay kneeling charade before the national anthem.

Two cowboys raised the black power fist during the national anthem and thats what triggered Jones.

And once again, you ignore the fact that he joined with the entire NFL to kneel against Trump and what he said about respecting the Anthem.
Stop defending this weasel!

Sargon, Jerry Jones belongs to a league that is openly disrespecting our nation. His individual team actions don't mean squat. When he pulls out of the NFL entirely, let me know. Until then, he is just as complicit as everyone else in allowing this to fester. I was a life-long Saints fan since their inception in 1967 but as far as I am concerned, they and their entire league can go to hell for what they have allowed. The left is constantly pushing us to give in to their agenda, this being the latest episode. You want to give in a little, go ahead and watch your cowboys. I am through giving in and more in the mood to start taking back what's been stolen from me over the years.
