Houston is Dem because the majority of the residents are Dems. Demography is destiny.

no, Houston is not Dem., Houston residents, like residents everywhere else, Venezuela for example, do not give a crap until the poop hits the fan, as it has now. The Mayor wishes to impose a 10% increase in the Real Estate taxes. This after the Storm, supposedly to help pay for storm cleanup.

The previous Mayor, a Lesbian, imposed a Bathroom bill that one of the local Preachers gave a negative sermon about. The Lessy sued the preacher and demanded a full listing of all sermons. This particular case ended up getting dropped. but is took much local public pressure

With the current Mayor reaching into people pockets for more of their hard earned money, now EVERYONE Dem., Rep., queer or otherwise are all of a sudden taking notice.

The local Mexicans and Americans with a Mexican heritage are mostly "conservative" - what ever that means. And not many of these people vote in any case.

As a way to push people apart even more, we should always refer to everyone as American-fill in the blank, that way we supposedly can tell what TRIBE and voting pattern you belong to

Dan, you are delusional. The demographic make-up of Houston or CA results in Dem control. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem.

In 1970 non-Hispanic whites made up 62.4% of the population; and in 2010 it was 25.6% of the population. Harris County went 54% to 42% for Hillary thanks to Houston.

Wow—nothing of what you just posted re: voters, particularly in Houston, is true.
