As expected there was much discussion on gun control, either total or something call a bum stock.
Also some intriguing discussion on the issues between Trump and Tillerson and a few others we are led to believe.
President Trump does not sound like he puts up with nonsense is how I see it.

LOL. The runoff came about after the initial election results to determine the top two candidates. Since no candidate won a majority of the vote during the general election on November 3, 2015, the run off was held between the top two finishers, Sylvester Turner, who received 32% of the vote, and Bill King, who received 25%.
If you look at the results, the Dem candidates received the majority of the votes on November 3rd. Sylvester Turner, Adrian Garcia, Ben Hall, and Chris Bell (all of whom were Democrats) got 65% of the total vote.
Turner 32%
King 25%
Garcia 17%
Hall 9%
Bell 7%
Bell endorsed King while Garcia and Hall endorsed Turner. All things being equal, Turner should have won with a bigger margin.
I think this is a case of misreading statistics. In the Electoral collage the 3 million more votes Hillary received were totally irrelevant. What counted were the States of PA, WI and MI - statistically Democrat voting blocks. Again the issues in these states more than likely had to do with pocket book issues. Trump bringing jobs, Hillary killing Coal jobs.
Trump won narrowly in PA, WI, and MI. Yes, Presidential elections are decided by the electoral college per the Constitution. It is rare that the candidate who wins the popular vote loses the election. What is happening now is that more and more states are turning blue. I lived over 30 years in VA. It used to be a red state and is now solid blue when it comes to statewide elections. I lived in Fairfax County, which is the largest county in the state. Kerry won FC in 2004, the first time that had been done by a Dem candidate for President since 1964. The demographics of FC have changed dramatically over the past 20 years. Now one-third of the residents are foreign-born. For the first time in the history of VA, the ballots were in English and Spanish for a county. That county was FC.
People are people, it make no difference where they live. If enough uneducated / fooled by the press people show up to vote, we here in the U.S. of A could end up in the same situation as the Venezuelans.
We are being colonized by the Third World. We have a much different electorate. In 1970, 89% of the US electorate were non-Hispanic whites. Today, it is 63%.
See my post #84.
for sure, lots going on I cant post most of what i have.
The Soviets got their share of German scientists. We got the best ones.
What I would like to see is EVERYONE pay SOME Federal Taxes before any Deductions are provided
80% of wage earners pay more in SS/Medicare taxes than they do in income taxes. SS, Medicare and Medicaid account for almost two thirds of federal expenditures and the percentage is increasing as the society ages.
As they should - this is the FDR mandated retirement savings per person. This cannot be counted as Federal Income Tax. Again Fun with numbers
SS is not savings ! The money goes right out the door to the current crop of retirees. As long as there are more people working and paying into the system then are taking out (Those retired getting their SS checks!). It sort of works., Upset that number working\number retired demographic and it collapses. Like any Ponzi scheme! Which it is!
Pretty scary stuff for the future of the Republican Party, which incredibly continues to pursue a suicidal immigration policy.
The payroll tax is a real tax and it disproportionately falls on those making less money. There is a cap on earnings that can be taxed for SS. The Health Insurance part of the payroll tax has no cap.
There is a reason why the Dems want more legal immigration and amnesty. Legal immigration will make the Dems the permanent majority party within a decade. Amnesty just hastens the process.
