10:05 First shots outside hotel
10:09 Shots inside hotel (had to be guard)
10:09 Shots outside hotel continue
10:12 1st officers 31st floor
10:15 Shots stop.
I am not going to argue about ballistic details.
My question is about motive.
We know the security guard was unarmed and by himself in a hallway on the 32nd floor. I’ve seen the set up of that hallway described as a perfect kill zone by folks who know about those things.
My question is this:
Why didn’t Paddock shoot until he knew the security guard was dead? According to the narrative we have been given, he was a homicidal nutcase.
It would appear that whoever shot Jesus Campos exercised restraint.
Why?

That’s the cab driver saying that burst sounds farther away. And it could be simply shooting out the other window which was on a face of the building angled away from the cab driver.
The official police timeline had the security guard confronting the shooter at 10:15 IIRC and getting shot and the cops on the floor within 60 seconds after he was shot, at 10:16.
I saw some video where there were a number of (.308?) shots before the first burst.
I assume that the first individual shots were at the av fuel tanks.
I don’t hear those in this composite.
