I am not going to argue about ballistic details.
My question is about motive.
We know the security guard was unarmed and by himself in a hallway on the 32nd floor. I’ve seen the set up of that hallway described as a perfect kill zone by folks who know about those things.
My question is this:
Why didn’t Paddock shoot until he knew the security guard was dead? According to the narrative we have been given, he was a homicidal nutcase.
It would appear that whoever shot Jesus Campos exercised restraint.
Why?
I’ve been a little curious about that security guard.
He was an unarmed security guard. Paddock saw that on video.
The cameras were on the cart 10 feet away from the door. The guard was down at the other end of the 250’ hall. The cameras detected the guard, the shooter sprays the hall quite possibly taking out the cameras so he could have blinded himself in the process. We still don’t know how far down the guard was when the spraying started.
It was reported at one time the cops got the guard back to the elevator vestibule.
