I haven’t been able to go cold turkey. But now I only watch my favorite team, even though I have Sunday ticket. It is the first time ever that I abstain from watching other games including, Thursday night, Sunday night and Monday night.
Whenever possible, if you watch on antenna TV not connected to any technology, it doesn’t show up in viewership numbers. You can also contribute to the cause by not buying anything from NFL advertisers when there’s a good alternative.
You are honest. Hobbies are great. But when it dominates your life you stagnate.
Once try walking out the front door and make something happen. Fail often. Keep trying. Look back after a year. You may have something great you would not have.
Once you get past the DTs, it all works out OK.
Even your favorite team, if they are not loudly denouncing the “protests”, are on board with them.
