Hillary Clinton: I will ‘Keep Fighting’ for More Gun Control
breitbart.com ^ | 10/5/17 | AWR Hawkins

Posted on 10/05/2017 1:30:35 PM PDT by ColdOne

Hillary Clinton said she’ll “keep speaking out” for gun control Wednesday on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Clinton lamented Congressional inaction on gun control, saying, “I can’t believe that one whole political party in the greatest country on Earth is totally sold to the gun lobby and will do whatever they are ordered to do, despite the loss of life.” advertisement

The former Democratic presidential candidate criticized the fact that one of President Trump’s first actions on guns was to repeal Barack Obama’s Social Security gun ban and she claimed that the repeal allows people with mental problems to purchase guns. She said, “This makes no sense, and the vast majority of Americans, and the vast majority of gun owners know we need common-sense gun safety measures, so I’m going to keep fighting for it.”

Let’s see, Hillary, you be the FIRST to give up your guns, the people loaded that protect you, and THEN ask the rest of us to give up our guns. Why should WE give up our guns...and you not give up yours. I bet Vnce Foster wished he would have had a gun.

Yup. Every time she steps outside her house, the Democrat “brand” takes a hit. The Democrats know it, but there’s nothing they can do about it

Sometimes she doesn’t stand up too well herself. Like when they have to pick her up off a sidewalk and sack her into a vehicle.

Disarmament is for the “little people,” like paying taxes, suffering penalties for breaking the law, general accountability for anything in life, etc.

Here she is again! Trying to become relevant by grabbing onto the latest headline story to push her old arguments!

Just think: even the title of her "book," suggests (even confirms?) her backward-looking, uninspiring ideology--Progressivism!

Imagine being an American colonist in 1776!

All around you are thousands of other colonists who look to the future, citing Creator-endowed individual liberty for every person under a form of self-government based on "Natural law," or, "the laws of Nature."

Yet, your neighbor (who likes to be the center of attention and self-described "defender" of special groups she selects as "worthy" of rights), declares she knows what is best for everybody and that she does not recognize the votes of those "deplorable" persons who reject her form of "Progressive" power over people (for their own good, you know).

As colonists, you and your 18th Century friends whose ancestors have braved an ocean and a wilderness in order to raise their families in freedom from oppressive government, write a Declaration of Independence from that government's oppression, and resolve to live like free people who can chart their own future, under God's Providence, and receive "the Blessings of Liberty."

Yet, there stands that know-it-all neighbor, screaming and pointing to herself, shouting, "What Happened?"--as she watches real progress take place among those neighbors she has called "deplorable" and "unredeemable."

She looks pretty silly and shallow, don't you think?

I think it is great that those who thought that Trump was Hitler and that Trumps supporters were all fascist thugs who should be opposed by armed force have come around so much that they no longer think that there might ever be the need to exercise 2nd amendment rights to oppose government tyranny.

"Hillary Clinton: I will ‘Keep Fighting’ for More Gun Control"
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Borrowed from a related thread about Sen. Schumer and gun control laws ...

Patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate civilian-related arms. This is very important as it pertains to the following clarification of the fed’s constitutionally limited powers by a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting Supreme Court justices.

"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

So the first thing that Hillary and Schumer need to do in the name of federal gun control laws argued to protect ordinary citizens is this imo.

Hillary and Schumer need to rally Congress to petition the states for a gun control amendment to the Constitution. And if the states choose to ratify the proposed Hillary / Schumer amendment then Congress will have the power to make the kind of gun control laws that Hillary and Schumer are talking about and both of them will be heroes.

Otherwise, it is disturbing that federal gun regulations for civilian-related arms seem to have started appearing in the books during the FDR Administration, FDR and the Congress at that time infamous for making laws which they had no express constitutional authority to make.
