According to Kimmel, gun “nuts” don’t want to talk about gun control immediately after mass shootings because they don’t want to admit that they are partly responsible for those shootings.
“I’m not going to get too deep into it tonight, I said what I had to say last night, but I do want to say something to these nuts who spent most of the day today on television attacking those of us who think we need to do something about the fact that 59 innocent people were killed,” Kimmel snarked.

A more likely cause would be the ‘nuts’ who want to do violence are riled up into violence by people like kimmel.
We know what you want, but we don’t know from you exactly how what you want would have stopped this madman.
I’m not going to be lectured to by some multi-millionaire Hollyweird “talk” show host who looks like the Pillsbury doughboy and has armed body guards.

Exactly what gun laws currectly on the books or any proposed laws that would have stopped this horrible event from happening...
I could argue more persuasively that he and his ilk are far more responsible for mass killings than any volume of licensed gun owners.
Not only get rid of body guards with guns, do not use any in movies and tv shows. Ban it like smoking was banned years ago. Did they ever think that the shooting and killing on the big & small screens might just put the idea in younger children that it is common to shoot someone?
These people blaming this incident on guns are not logical. The shooter had explosives and was a pilot. He could have loaded a truck with explosives and likely driven a truck into the crowd and blew everything up. Or he could have loaded his plane with explosives and gone in for a landing on the crowd - between mowing down the crowd and the explosion there likely would have been more deaths and casualties.
