They already knew they had a crisis on their hands that was way beyond their capabilities to deal with. Let that sink in as we live in our post 9/11 world. I have no answers or speculation but see the above comment concerning especially in a city that has always been a target.

I wasn’t referring to the city of Las Vegas in general but to the hotel security staff in particular. Even after 9/11 I have never heard of a private business with a fully armed SWAT team on the premises.
