CBS Corp. fired a vice president in business affairs Monday for comments she made on social media regarding the mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas. Hayley Geftman-Gold, wrote on her Facebook page that she was not sympathetic to victims of the shooting because, she claimed, most country music fans are Republican. Geftman-Gold also wrote: If they wouldnt do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing. Im actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters.

I agree but I used to see this kind of garbage posted on FB all the time. By both sides. Well, not exactly this bad, but stuff that I know if I'd posted it and it was read by one of my bosses I'd be out of a job. It's the main reason I dropped FB, it's a cess pool.
The left now believes in squeaky wheel theory in our neighborhood.....
I think that's the new norm, I'm surprised you don't see it even there.
Well, at least they did the right think.
I wonder how the exchange will go when she gets back to her pad today:
How did it go today?
Not so good, got fired.
Wow, must have been serious. Can we pay the rent?
Well, it is serious and not sure how we are going to make the rent as I am unemployable right now.
What you mean WE.

Disbar this POS.
I suspect that this woman has never actually met a Republican. She made it through high school, college, law school and working as an attorney in the entertainment industry and probably never had a conversation with anyone who disagreed with her left wing world view.
She came to Facebook believing that country fans and republicans were too stupid to be able to actually read her posts.
She’d better hope that if, in the same deadly situation, there are mostly “Repugs” in the crowd to save her dirty butt.
Yep. It’s all about optics. She felt comfortable saying it because she’s surrounded by people probably making the same statements. She was just stupid enough to post publicly.
A large leftist law firm will hire her, or possibly the law school where Bernardine Dorhn is a professor (Chicago).
She’ll probably hire a PR firm, have a very tear filled press conference, express sorrow and ‘ deep frustration and anger over gun violence in America - and that’s why I lashed out! ‘ and that will be the end of it.
Her professional career will not be finished. She’ll be employed with another firm in no time at all.
The problem is employers don't want to deal with boycotts and physical assaults, or worse, on their other employees by individuals angry about those remarks. So if you're going to say something inflammatory, do it under a pseudonym so it doesn't blow back on your employer or other people you know.
I am always pissed at comments like that!
CNN will hire her when no one is looking.
I wonder how many careers have been killed on twitter.....
If they wouldnt do anything when children were murdered...”
What?
So, girl, what is your stand on abortion?
Sick Beyotch.
58 dead and over 500 wounded, and she Tweets that out?
Well, she can hypenate her name a bit more. Now she can be known as:
Hayley Geftman-Gold-Sicko-Unemployed-Lost High 6 Figure Salary
“Wow, you mean someone was actually fired??”
She will go to work on Hillary’s 2020 campaign. LOL
I agree with both of you.
Just because a state has a lot of liberals in it, does not mean there are not Americans there. Sheesh. But people on FR do it all the time.
The other day, there was a post about how eliminating property and other tax deductions in high tax states, as part of this "Tax Cut" deal, was going to really, really hurt people in CA, MA, NJ, CT, NY, and others. My taxes will soar.
And Freepers are making stupid statments such as "Well MOVE you idiot!" or "Tough luck for you - living in that state - HA!"
Give me a break.
Sam - did you hear about Tom Petty?
