the band all had headsets on. They probably didn't know until the bullets started ricocheting off the stage lights and speakers and their manager was screaming in their ear to get off the freaking stage

If you watch the video, the AV gear starts taking hits and one of the display screens starts fritzing out with dead panels before the band mikes get cut. It sounds like either the band security bundled them off the stage and/or the AV system took enough damage that the singer couldn’t tell everyone to get down any more.

I suppose I should cut them a break - it is such an unreal event - how do you react? Some guy (lead singer??) that was on stage at the time thought it was the fireworks going off early. Then upon figuring out it was bullets - didn’t know where they were coming from. I think he said he first thought they might be from the crowd.
