A man plummeted 40 feet down a hole while working at a construction site on one of the U.S.-Mexico border wall prototypes in south San Diego County Wednesday, officials confirmed.

There drilling holes for caissons....there probably one to three foot in diameter....not like falling of a building....still he was dam lucky...
mud and/or water on bottom??
Ooh, that would be a great feature of a border wall. People trying to scale the wall, slip into 40 foot holes that shred them and deliver the results on the Mexican side. I'm liking that scenario.
This is the Trump wall, right? Therefore, Trump’s fault!
Good, glad he suffered no serious injuries.
I had read where the “wall” is to go down 30-feet as well to help prevent tunnels. But drilled shafts make sense too. Of course the shafts might be one right next to the other to form a barrier.
I’m not lazy but if I fell 40 feet into a hole, I am taking the rest of the day off. I would need a beer and a scratcher!
I remember Eddie Murphy on SNL - he did that all the time.
He wasn’t killed? FIRE THEM!
