The co-host of FN1’s Undisputed, former NFL player Shannon Sharpe, went on a hateful rant on Friday in regards to the anti-American NFL National Anthem protests, angrily arguing that the American flag is no big deal anyway, that it’s just a “piece of cloth” that “nobody fights for” and that it’s a symbol that’s somehow “racist” to boot.
“The flag, you see, to a lot of people, symbols, patriotism but what does that symbol actually mean?” Sharpe asked stunned co-host Skip Bayless. “What does — what does – okay — you keep telling me that the flag means so much and it’s opportunity and freedom and liberty. Okay. Can you honestly say that everybody in America has freedom and liberties and opportunity?”
“No,” Bayless calmly answered.
“Well, if you can’t can’t answer that, then we have a problem and we would like to have it addressed,” Sharpe shouted.
Shannon Sharpe, a former NFL tight end who spent all but two of his 12 seasons with the Denver Broncos, continued his hateful rant against the flag:
“And stop trying to sweep it under the rug. But, see, as long as you paint that narrative, oh, it’s the Anthem, I can’t — no — anybody that does something to the Anthem — well, we know what the anthem was originally written for and who it was written by, okay? The flag, okay? We understand what the flag? What does it represent?
When did this narrative come to be that the military and the police own the flag and only them? I can go buy a flag and I can hang it up in my backyard. We need to stop this, Skip. We need to — the flag is a piece of cloth and nobody fights for a piece...”

I understand your confusion. Like most people, you are hung up on the flag because of our religious reverence to it, which is enshrined in law. But, listen to what Sharpe and kneelers are saying and ignore the flag. When they really get going, they truly hate the USA.
Taken as a symbol, national colors are very different from gang colors. A nation is much greater than a gang or a tribe, and typically has many gangs or tribes in it who have given away their sovereignty to form the nation. The kneelers always profess support for the tribe and/or gang (unity, interlocking arms, etc), but they hate the nation—which they see as a construct of colonialism (Obama taught them the basics of post-colonial Marxist thought).
When Sharpe or a kneeler talks of injustice, they mean that they want tribal sovereignty back (i.e. they make and enforce their own laws) while being able to enjoy the full privileges (and benefits) of being in the nation.
The irony is that they are kneeling (a sign of surrender) for the same flag that we proudly stand for (a sign of the equality of individual and nation).
He’s a hardcore, leftwing parasite, hate-America democrat. Same as Obama without the polish.
There is not another country in the world that would have given that hostile african the opportunities this clown has received.
He went to a useless black college (they don’t have white ones) where I am sure everything was about hating whitey.
And why is it that almost every successful black man shuns black women and gets them a white woman? Is that the prize? Do you think white women are better than black woman? I could understand if it was a smaller percentage but it seems like almost everyone of them get them a whitey. Why in the world would black women support black men? They need to turn against them.
Boycott the NFL and ESPN.

We should start referring to these people as ‘anti-Americans” and nothing else. It’s a great umbrella term. Then there are those that fall into what I like to call the Basket of Anti-Americans... to coin a phrase.
The most noteworthy item from this article was that Skip Bayless answered something calmly.
Well, I doubt you’re going to find Uncle Tom’s Cabin or Huckleberry Finn on the shelves. Like trying to find a Charlie Chaplin movie on TV. They’ve been censored.
