ABSOLUTELY. It’s just hidden welfare by another name. Everybody should pay a positive amount into the system so they can see exactly what they are getting for their taxes.
Increasing the standard deduction but not fixing AMT means no change really.
Spot on. If they did ONLY these things, it would be a successful reform and make a lasting and meaningful impact.
From what I understand, at least the first two of those are part of the plan. The death tax and AMT are to be eliminated.
