ABSOLUTELY. It’s just hidden welfare by another name. Everybody should pay a positive amount into the system so they can see exactly what they are getting for their taxes.
And EVERYONE needs to be vested in a system which reflects real world consequences for their ballot choices.
I’m still for a law making only taxpayers eligible to vote. Maybe that would do away with the fed income tax in short order.
