“telecasts of NFL games is down 11 percent this season compared to 2016,”
And wasn’t the 2016 season way down from 2015, once halfrican Colin began his antics? Sounds to me like it’s dropping like a rock. Couldn’t happen to a more (un)deserving organization.

Do you suppose that the billionare owners don’t really want social change in our inner cities? My point is that this creates an atmosphere that cultivates violent behavior early in life and the survivors of that violent environment provide some of the recruits to violent sports teams that they then exploit for financial gain.

You may be right, but my theory is a little different: I think that a great many inside the league also think the protests are stupid and disrespectful but are too afraid to do anything about it. These people are making HUGE MONEY doing a job that quite frankly, many of us would be thrilled to be doing. I think it's possible a lot of sensible, decent people are being held hostage by idiots and they are whistling past the graveyard, hoping it all goes away....course I'm wrong all the time,so....

I read somewhere that the advertising rates are based on the previous years ratings and if the current ratings are less then the NFL has to credit the advertisers in “free time” to make up the difference.
At some point that becones unsubstainable.

Patriots are not watching. Those left don’t care what the players and owners do. They will make excuses. Then you have the libs and Dems who blindly follow what they are told.

The retirement is a lot less than what I expected. Assuming these guys finish as young men, inflation after about 30 years when they retire will sap their income.

Good idea. Advertisers need to be contacted. I want to ask them what are they thinking, supporting those who diss this country for no reason?
The pampered, overpaid NFL players are living in utter luxury and they scream of injustice! Insanity.

There are hardcore of FR who are making excuses for team behavior :( They wont give it up.that is shameful. Choosing an NFL that spit in their face over their country. They have no right to complain about anything, they are part of the problem in America no less than the rino congress.

Agreed. My point is that there’s great competition at the youth level in Latin America. And it’s nice to see foreigners embracing something that’s authentically American.

Nielsen said the games averaged 17.63 million viewers for the first three weeks of last season, and have dipped to 15.65 million this year. The Nielsen figures dont include many of the Sunday afternoon games that are shown to a regional audience, but not a national one.
I like how they throw that extra sentence in, trying to make it sound like there's some people not counted, that could make up for that gap. Except, of course, those same people not-counted, were also not counted for the first number!
