I don't think they're confident at all. All the outrage nonsense about the "free speech rights" of players kneeling for the national anthem and President Trump's suggestion that maybe the owners ought to "get those sons of b!tches off the field" has been used to cleverly divert attention from another part of Trump's comments that nobody is talking about:

Earlier in his rant at that rally in Alabama, Trump criticized the NFL for ruining football by turning into a boring spectacle of endless penalty flags for stupid offenses that shouldn't even be penalized.

Think about that for just a moment ... The President of the United States called out the NFL for boring its fans to death. Did you ever think you'd see such a thing?

What you're witnessing here is the NFL's leadership, a bunch of team owners, and all the TV media who have a huge stake in the success of the NFL running around desperately trying to change THAT subject ... by making this all about something they think they can manage in a way that focuses attention on some lame sh!t like "unity."

The silence of Democrats in the political world on this one is absolutely deafening. They know President Trump is right.
