Todd ArcherJosh Weinfuss Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print comment GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals displayed unity Monday night before their game in an expression of displeasure with the recent comments made by President Donald Trump.

As the Cardinals were introduced, Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, as well as executive vice presidents Stephen Jones, Charlotte Anderson and Jerry Jones Jr., stood locked arm in arm with the players, coaches and staff.

Before a giant American flag was unfurled that covered almost the entire field, the Cowboys took a knee briefly as a group, including Jerry Jones, which led to a smattering of boos from the crowd that included a large number of Dallas fans.

During the national anthem, the Cowboys stood locked arm in arm but nobody took a knee or appeared to have any sign of silent protest.

The players have NO right to free speech on their employer's time.

Yes, that’s where this entire kneeing thing started support for BLM and to show they’re not going to stand for a flag that represented such injustice. Make it be known the NFL supports cop killers of BLM and the violent thugs of ANTIFA who are also connected to BLM.
This would be like the NFL in the 60s/70s supporting black panthers or weather underground or something like that.
They are supporting or so unity with two groups who are just as violent and radical.

Why?

The Constitution has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the NFL allows players to protest during games.

The league or the owners could and should stop all protests during the national anthem. Failing to do so means both agree with the players protesting.

You've never read the Constitution, have you?

If I'm wrong, and you have read it, please post the First Amendment here. Verbatim.

Then we can discuss if the First Amendment applies to this disgraceful situation or not.

“The players have NO right to free speech on their employer’s time.”

THESE employers don’t care,so they are doing nothing wrong as far as the employers are concerned.

Now I know why they have regular season games in London and Mexico City.

This is a clear message from the Globalist Elites, America and Americans are no longer needed or wanted ....

"The issue is, what exactly are they kneeling about in the first place? This whole thing goes back to Ferguson and the whole “hands up, don’t shoot” fabrication. These people are propagandizing as many American people as they can into believing the narrative that cops are deliberately and indiscriminately shooting down innocent young black men all over the country, which is utter nonsense."

Word on the web is that the Department of Justice in 2011 approached the NFL about concussions. A lot of former players have these concussions, and they were going to file law suit after lawsuit against the NFL and the owners. Moreover, even lawsuits of fixing of some of the games.

However, they made some sort of agreement with the NFL, and it has never been the same since. This is when the NFL really became political like pushing Obamacare and not hitting players too hard, etc... That did not go over well and quickly vanished.

Really sad what happened. I loved the NFL. I had been watching it since about 5 years old.

Whatever be the case I’ll never look at it the same way again. I even tried just looking at the highlights last night. I could only look for 10 seconds and became enraged thinking about the players kneeling. This game is suppose to bring us together and not be politicized to tear us apart.

Now it’s all about Trump.

The NFL falls in lock step behind the lying media/CNN, anti-Americans, illegal aliens, anarchist, antifa, the corrupt cesspool in D.C., et al.

What a surprise!

The only acceptable posture during the National Anthem is to stand with your cap off, and your hand over your heart, as a civilian.

Locking arms is not acceptable.

It is the old “We Shall Overcome” posture from the 60s.

Man, the NFL really blew itself up. And their death only took about 48 or so hours.

NO, Jones respected both the Constitution and the players right to free speech, and peaceful protest, yet he did NOT allow them to disrespect the Flag or Anthem. Jones told them he would fire anyone who took a knee during the Anthem or disrespected the Flag! I respect that

oh boy I doubt you even believe that. We all know what they are doing. Don't try to sugar coat it - the bloom is off the the NFL. Know your environment and act accordingly. This is not the time or the place for protesting it used to be for some smash mouth foozeball. Jerry Jones sucks like just like Collin Kapernick after tonight. Sorry thats the way it is.

Yeah, they are doubling down on stupid. This is just childish theatrics. No one wanted to hire the emboldened moron that started this, and now they are embracing his antics. Sad to think this is all about free passes for criminals.
