The Dallas Cowboys plan to protest during the national anthem before Mondays game against the Arizona Cardinals, per multiple sources.
Nothing has been firmed up and they will likely come to some decision in the locker room. It may not be a coordinated effort. It may just be a few individuals.
One player said, We have to do something.
Said another, Its not going to be business as usual. He crossed a line. Something will be done...
The majority of the NFLs owners and/or teams issued statements in response to Trumps comments over the weekend.
The Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones have yet to do so...
Garrett, however, has made it clear that he likes how his team has stood for the anthem.
That stance may change Monday night.

I’d be disappointed if they do- but I’m already angry with entire league and stopped watching the NFL yesterday. They can all go straight to hell until they apologize and make the situation right.
But that's still the blame of white leftists though. The Left lost the civil-rights battles of the 60s, so what did they do next. They insisted on "helping" blacks with affirmative action, housing projects, and substandard education. All of that has decimated blacks.
Not absolving blacks of blame - they do need to look in the mirror and take responsibility. But the Left needs football destroyed so blacks don't have a path to achieving the American dream.
Well then, what was this about today?
Wonder if they ever heard of this guy? Wonder if any of them would ever follow in his footsteps if the need arose? I think we all know the answer to that - not even the cowardly/quisling managers and owners would give up their cushy lives for their country! Would any politician? More of the same! His ending was not a desired one but he didn’t flinch when his country needed him. That made him unique and not a coward.
“”Patrick Daniel Tillman (November 6, 1976 April 22, 2004) was a professional American football player in the National Football League (NFL) who left his sports career and enlisted in the United States Army in June 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. His service in Iraq and Afghanistan, and subsequent death, were the subject of much media attention.[1]””

Incredible how Trump triggers lefties doing something ill-advised and their response is to immediately do really stupid, self-damaging stuff.
The players folded when asked to support cops, but hold firm when flipping the country their middle finger.
Well said Z6. Well said.
From a proud WWII Brat.
I could hear the TV on and my husband was watching something but it was a baseball game and not the football game. Lucky him - HA!
Does anybody care what the Cowboys do? I turned off my tv yesterday. No more football for me for this season. Once I tune out football and find other things to do, it may be difficult to get back to being a couch potato.
This NFL counter-productive activism started with pink shoes, wristbands, etc. It made the players look like sissies. One thing led to another and now we (not us) are tolerating and encouraging activism that is nothing more than treasonous disrespect for our country, for our armed forces, for our flag.
Who wants to pay to be insulted by thugs and millionaires who hate our country?
Stand and sing, be proud of your country, your flag, and your anthem. When the anthem is finished, Jerry Jones should grab the microphone, and state the following:
“We as a team, as Americans, will never sit nor take a knee during our anthem. Though injustices exist, the anthem is a somber moment to reflect on what made this country the greatest country in the world, and the sacrifices it required to make it that way, not a time for division or protest. With that being said, I would like to ask everyone to take a knee and lets lift a prayer to God and ask him for his forgiveness and guidance, to bring us together for the sake of good, for the sake of love, and help us to heal our nation and lead us to a great United destiny.”
Good, I won’t be watching anytime soon.
Would it do any good to email the paper and try to explain the facts to them? Are there any real journalists left on any big city newspapers?
They have a chance to be true leaders and stand up for America. We’ll find out in a few minutes.
If they have anyone kneel and Jerry Jones doesn’t have them escorted off the field immediately, I’m forever done with the Cowboys.
From a lifelong fan.
Looks like both teams stood during anthem including Jerry Jones for the cowboys. Did have arms locked with each other.
That kneeling was a photo op and not during the anthem
I think jones took care of unity for all by doing both for photo but all stood during anthem with arms locked
I'm so lonesome I could cry.
