There's no question that President Trump tossed a live grenade into the NFL's locker room during his Alabama speech the other night that has set off countless secondary explosions throughout the league and across the media spectrum.
Too many in the left-wing media want to play down the fact that this entire mess began with one player, Colin Kaepernick, radicalized by his lefty girlfriend, demonstrating his support for the Black Lives Matter campaign against America's police forces. Now, I can understand how young men in their physical prime could find this a sympathetic view, as many of them too frequently find themselves in direct conflict with America's police due to alcohol- and testosterone-fueled incidents of physical violence, often involving their wives or girlfriends. However, the more important consideration is that BLM's campaign against cops is not one that finds wide favor among the citizenry at large, the folks who support the NFL with their fandom.
And that, folks, is the issue here. The owners and the NFL commissioner chose to permit these demonstrations against America's police to continue despite of the fact that they further alienate a large segment of a fan base already disaffected by the injection of leftist political views into media coverage of their game broadcasts. If you think I'm exaggerating on alienation, just Google up some images of the recent SF 49ers-LA Rams game and look at all those empty seats. This may be the worst case of no-shows to date, but it's a growing occurrence at other stadiums, and television viewership is down as well. The American people are speaking, telling those defiant football players that America supports law enforcement, not black criminality, and the NFL owners and management ignore them to their ultimate peril.

I called DirecTV this morning and cancelled our NFL Sunday Ticket. The customer service woman asked why, and I told her we wouldn’t be watching any more games this season.
I also dropped our programming package down to the minimum. The only reason we had a mid-priced package was to get the ESPN channels and my husband is ticked off with them too because of politics.
Since I was making changes to our service anyway, I dropped HBO and Showtime.
DirecTV just lost $1200/year from us.
No problem, there. I haven’t even watch FOX in a month or so.
The media, at least the so-called “mainstream media”, is DEAD TO ME.
From what I can tell around me, more people support the NFL POS players than dont. Since 0bama, this has become a center left nation and is getting more left as millinneals become “adults” and they like all this anti America garbage.
The NFL’s problem is the people that matter, those who go to games and watch them on TV, dont support the players. So there you have the slip in the ratings and drop in attendance.
Give it time, they'll start to realize the crap sandwich they're supporting and will come around.
This whole pattern of claiming to be a victim
Then getting angry about being a victim and our anger is justified.
Then turning to physical violence based upon our justified anger.
Then looking for others to give in through appeasement to get rid of our anger and violence.....
Palestinians are using it against Israel... (Land for Peace)
Blacks have used it for affirmative action.. get rid of statues, cotton offends us...., “We are victims so we are justified!”
Hitler used it to get Nevil Chamberlain to think he had peace and Hitler ended up with Czechoslovakia
North Korea has used it to get $$$$$ for many years while working on the bomb...
Iran used it to get the $$$$ and deal with Obama...
Even our teenagers try to use it to convince us as parents that we “owe them.” (However for most of us, we curbed it early enough that it never became a problem.
Appeasement is the foreign policy of the Democrats.
Wilson’s appeasement during his first term set the stage for WWI in his second term.
FDR’s appeasement during his first and second term led to WWII in his Third term.
Truman’s appeasement during his first term led to the Korean War.
Johnson’s appeasement during his first term led to the Vietnam War.
Clinton’s appeasement during his two terms gave us 911 and the Iraq War.
Obama’s two terms has given us all the war zones now getting hot... Korea, Syria, Venezuela, ......
It should be obvious that the democrat foreign policy is appeasement which always leads to war.
It’s like bribing our children to discipline them and we end up with a knock down drag out with them as a teenager... Discipline when young and you have a healthy teenager and adult. The same is true in foreign policy.
no Sunday night game and none tonight...
I hope and pray that the college kids don't get pulled in as much although I know some of them do...
Second term Democrat Presidents get us into war....
they're attacking all of us.....
The protest seems to be this: “I live in a terrible country, the only job I can get is to run around catching footballs, banging supermodels and wondering how to spend my fifteen million dollars a year.”
The American people spoke when we elected Trump too, and the media have spent the last nine months pretending otherwise. I don’t think this one’s going away anytime soon.
True, but more like the Globalist Uniparty has moved its hate America Campaign to the sports media because noone is watching their MSM anymore.
If you have banking with USAA and want an alternative you could check out what PenFed offers.
They offer banking, IRAs, car loans, mortgage loans. You do not have to be active or retired military to use them. Call them and they’ll sign you up for an affinity group. They sometimes have very good mortgage rates and CD rates.
“I cant believe the Texas Rangers are already building a new ballpark, ridiculous.”
They are a pernicious boil on the country’s a$$! The shining example here in California was Mr. “Gold Chains,” Al Davis and the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders. He moved his team every time he didn’t get what he wanted from the city in which he was currently located. And he was always suing everyone to get what he wanted.
Thank you.
