The Establishment Republicans have been using this kind of reasoning (quite successfully I’m sorry to say) for some time now.
You may recall how the GOPe worked incessantly to derail Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, even though she won the primary fair and square.
COD would have likely put a significant wrench in the 0bamacare works, along with other advantages to her.
