Coach Tomlin says that he respects the decision of his players to not appear for the national anthem. Yet he expresses clear disappointment with the decision Villanueva made to appear. So I guess player decisions are respected only when they fit the PC narrative.
The relevant comments start at the 3:13 mark.
exactly right. Tomlin hosted a fund raiser in his home in Pittsburgh last year for you know who. Also standing for the anthem, how to stand, where to put your helmet, etc is explicitly spelled out in the NFL rules handbook. Everyone of those players should be punished for breaking the rules. It pains to say this as a person whose first football game ever attended (pro, college, HS) was superbowl XIV, pasedena, CA.

Tomlin and the Steelers owners thanked Obama after their last superbowl victory. WFT did Obama have to do with anything?
Not 2 sentences into the postgame speech...
I’ve been a Steelers fan since I was 5, in the days of the Iron Curtain. No more. I’m done with them, and done with the NFL.
College football is better and more exciting anyway.
Watch service academy games. My son graduated from the Air Force Academy last year. We attended a lot of games while he was there and they are a lot of fun. You won’t see this crap going on there.
Congrats on your grandson’s graduation!
Last service game I attended was AF at Army. What an experience!
You’re spot on thinking this is a communist tactic. In fact, the whole entire BLM and Antifa are communist movements and most of the on the street protestors don’t realize it... The radicals at the top and the funders like Soros, know full well.
Goodell is a coward. He won’t be standing up to spoiled brat players and mainly because of the color of their skin.
Some Blacks in some situations do act/think that way. I can understand the dynamic. It’s sad that it comes to that. The bad folks there outnumber the good, and it becomes real dicey for the good ones.
We do know that there are Blacks who don’t think that way though.
So once again, we are confronted by individuals, some do, some don’t.
I’ve seen some of the videos of Black Conservatives, and those guys are a credit to the Black race. Not all people from any race are totally bad.
At the end of the day, we’re still having to judge people by their actions, not skin color.
There was a video floating around yesterday that I linked into.
It covered Alejandro Villanueva. I could have sworn she said 7’ 9”, but I probably remembered wrong. When I wrote that, I seemed to remember 7s on both sides of the hight/weight. It doesn’t sound right does it. 7’ 9” would be way outside the norm.
As for his weight, they did list it as 277.
He’s a well proportioned guy.
Thanks for the post.
Yes, most people do look up to him, and now for at least three reasons.
Service to our nation
Standing tall when others wouldn’t
His height
I agree with your thoughts there too.
Exactly. If they were all that mad over Trump’s comments, they should have stood for the anthem and flag proudly. Instead they played into what he said about them and proved him right. How on earth does this help their supposed cause?
