Alejandro Villanueva, a Pittsburgh Steeler and U.S. Army Ranger veteran who deployed three times to Afghanistan, was the only Steeler to leave the Steeler's locker room to go to the field to show his respect for the anthem, the flag and those who have served, are serving and who have died defending the American way of life.
The rest of the team stayed in the locker room to avoid controversy.

Bless him!
All those black players are owned by the NFL team Owners...they are literally SLAVES!!!!
They should run-away to Canada using the underground network of private jets they can charter with their vast wealth!
It is the principle of the thing, they shouldnt be slaves anymore!
Did slaves on cotton plantations just Take a Knee in the cotton field, NOPE, they fled to Canada!
All these cowardly chicken necked NFL slaves need to get in their fancy jets and fly to Canada for the winter football season on the “UnderGround Airways”!
Oh that's good. I wonder if Limbaugh (or Bo Snerdley) will see that.
THIS NFL player and patriot should be the ONLY one invited to the White house!
Sua Sponte, Ranger!!
Having worn the USAF Uniform....my respect goes out to this man.
Amen, Dave. Amen!
He should be team captain.
Thank you, Alejandro Villanueva!
You’re a true American and Patriot.
The Good Lord sure is separating the sheep from the goats.
The Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite Soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other Soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained Soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
Rangers lead the way!
Yep in leftist America, showing LOVE for our FLAG is now “Controversial” God Bless Alejandro Villanueva..he served THREE tours of duty in Afghanistan, he is a real American HERO
Watching this made me cry.....God Bless this hero
An American Soldier and Patriot.
After all, this is a man who reportedly became known as The Giant to the Taliban, during his first tour as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. Stationed in Kandahar Province, he was the rifle platoon leader of the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team. Without going into graphic detail, suffice it to say, Villanueva and his soldiers were involved in some serious fighting.
They were playing the North Korean national anthem inside the locker rooms.
The very first thing you hear on that clip is the announcer's directive: "Now, please stand, remove your hats ..." Who the hell does he think he is to tell anyone facing a lifetime of racism and discrimination to stand?
/sarcasm off, maybe/
He’ll probably get fired.
