STATEMENT FROM PATRIOTS CHAIRMAN AND CEO ROBERT KRAFT "I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday. I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities. Their efforts, both on and off the field, help bring people together and make our community stronger. There is no greater unifier in this country than sports, and unfortunately, nothing more divisive than politics. I think our political leaders could learn a lot from the lessons of teamwork and the importance of working together toward a common goal. Our players are intelligent, thoughtful and care deeply about our community and I support their right to peacefully affect social change and raise awareness in a manner that they feel is most impactful."
I am waiting for the Steelers to start this crap. The Rooneys are liberals and will likely support it. And fans will keep coming to games. Makes me sick.
Kraft's Redcoats.
Turns out Tom Brady isn't the only one with deflated balls in that organization.
The irony of the statement being applied to the “Patriots” is palpable.
Will the Cowboys truly become America’s team? I’m a Chiefs fan but I love Jerry Jones’ stand on this matter.
Trump calling out America hating is not divisive.
If the owners want to continue to disrespect their fans then their business will get exactly the same treatment Target got and we’ll see how long they hold their stance. They pal around with the players but they never hang out with the fans who pay the bills. Like actors, they seem to think they’re invulnerable. I’ve only been to one MLB game since the last strike (I got invited to a skybox and I’d never been in one) and I haven’t bought any merchandise or pay for a ticket since then because there has never been an apology to the fans. I don’t think I’m the only one headed that way with football if they don’t course correct quickly.
1. President Trump suggested that fans should just walk out of NFL stadiums if the players don't stand for the national anthem.
2. President Trump said the NFL had turned football into a boring game with penalty flags for stupid, silly infractions.
If I'm the owner of an NFL team these two comments are far more devastating to my business interests than a suggestion that some "son of a b!tch" who refuses to stand for the national anthem should be fired.
Even worse ... I know in my heart that the President of the United States is saying exactly what is on the minds of most of my paying customers.
“There is no greater unifier in this country than sports”
That was before strikes and prima donna attention whores, Bob, like yourself: millionaire ingrates playing for clueless billionaires in megastadiums paid for by the same people, patriots they insult every Sunday with their vain virtue-signalling.
They need us but we don’t need their circus anymore. Boycott professional sports!
Boycott the UN-PATRIOTS
He’s not piling on the POTUS. He is piling on the country.
He is saying he is good with millionaire players to dis the folks who keep the peace.
Colts owner too.
I was never a big NFL guy to begin with but I followed the teams somewhat.
Done with that now.
Does this idiot not realize that his remarks vindicate President Trump and the FANS?
Get the d@mn politics off our time and our dime
During opening ceremonies Stay in the locker room if my country offends you
Play ball and collect your filthy money
Or how about this
You take the knee and we pray the “ Our Father”’
How many Kraft products do I have to boycott?
Sports are not God.
The players sitting on that bench are worth a total of over 40 million dollars.
